Ehh Blid I don't think the argument (with few exceptions) are that the vaccines are unsafe. Pretty much everyone agrees their safe and you should be vaccinated.
The argument is "we should not force people or mandate what people inject into their bodies at a federal government level."
Reason being it opens the door for government to play bigger roles in individuals lives than they already are.
Individuals should listen to their doctors on what treatments they should and should not partake in and should not be administered at a federal government level.

half my workplace got knocked out with this virus. i got it with mild symptoms, not even vaxxed. nice side-effect tho, have trouble sleeping. one day i'm laying in bed for like 10 hours trying to fall asleep.

Most scientists agree covid-19 is here to stay with us and it’s not going anywhere. People should get inoculated with a covid shot(like an annual flu shot)but arguing that the end goal here is to eradicate the disease through inoculations doesn’t seem likely.

you dont really need to do things like double mask if you can get an N95 mask and wear it properly. here they have them in home depots and stuff, 3M is a good brand. ordering on amazon is risky because theres so much counterfeit shit but theres other good online vendors. the 95 stands for 95% filter effectiveness but in testing these things all hit over 99%. and yeah, sorry to hear about the trouble sleeping. i read one thing that even with mild cases, post-covid symptoms are common (it's at like 40% among unvaccinated people according to one thing i read) and the post covid symptoms can be basically anything, it's very weird

n95 and kn95 masks aren't economically viable for most people. i change masks frequently.

do you have any data to back that up? because when congress asked Walensky how many people have died from the covid vaccine (suggesting it was in the thousands) she did not refute it, and she did not answer the question. I do say keep an n95 mask on at all times when you’re in public, at least for right now. Personally wearing the mask doesn’t bother me at all so I’ll continue wearing one in the grocery store etc for the foreseeable future because the trade off of increased safety at no cost to me is worth it.
but for people who melt down at the idea of wearing a mask and maybe eating outdoors or doing takeout instead of dine in, I would say at least act safely during these surges. this omicron surge began here mid December and is beginning on its way back down, so that would mean like 2 months maybe of increased caution. 3000 people are dying a day, and while that obviously skews toward older or less healthy people anyone can be unlucky and just get wrecked. Moreover, even mild cases that people recover from with no real trouble in the moment can have long lasting effects.

I wore a mask less often before omicron, because I was fully vaccinated, but obviously with omi there are huge numbers of breakthrough infections. If you’re stuck in line at the post office and someone is hacking up a lung, your best chance of avoiding infection is the N95 mask.
I strongly prefer to not get covid. There’s people in my life too young to even get vaccinated, and I don’t want to potentially give them long-term disabilities by infecting them (nor do I want to suffer any long-term issues myself).

To your point about about my earlier statement about “individualism” in America. That is how America has functioned for decades and it has been that way since it’s founding in 1776 and last I checked the state hasn’t “fail” as you are claiming it will.

You claim America is a terrible place but I don't believe it is. Sure you can bring up it's past history but overall America is a great place to live. Millions of people dream of immigrating to America every year and millions of people make the journey here leaving their home countries behind in hopes for a better life for themselves and their families.
There is a good subsect of the population that is wealthier than the rest but I will tell you (you choose to believe me or dismiss me) I was poor once and I worked my way up to become wealthy.
This is America. Anyone with determination and hard work can be successful if they try.

What your writing here is mostly hyperbolic language claiming that if the government doesn't force mask mandates on it's citizens in most outdoor settings that we will cause your loved ones getting sick, supply chain issues, exodus of public school teaches, lack of doctors etc. These are hypothetical scenarios that don't really belong in a rational conversation.
You may disagree but some people have better immune systems than others. Not everyone is going to get sick from covid-19 by not walking outside with a mask on hence why not everyone wants to wear one at all times outside.
With that said if you are someone that is at risk or are in contact or may become contact with someone that is venerable you should take precautions against the pathogen in the event you become infected or pass it on to someone else.

Have you looked at any of the presented evidence that covid-19 was created through gain of function research? There were a lot of emails from Dr Anthoney Fauci to his colleagues related to Wuhan and there has been communications between him and other scientists that speak to this. Which why there should be an investigation on who or what could have caused this. Because even if it was naturally occurring the world deserves to know the origins of this pathogen.
