For October, or possibly September-October, I am thinking of Skull Isle in honor of Halloween, but could add some other maps that also fit that theme.  Could also split up September and October.  Maybe make September NWTR only, October the halloween type maps.  November could be a map contest, winning map is the map in play.  And then December-January as Plains of Snow.  Just some ideas...

June 1 to August 29

  • On June 1, all ladder rankings will be removed; records and game histories will be left intact
  • Players will then be ranked on the ladder as they play qualifying games
  • Activity rules: The #1 player must defend their title against the #2 player once every 10 days or face demotion
  • After each successful defense, the player will earn one CHAMPION POINT

If the player who is #1 on the final day of the season does not have the most CHAMPION POINTS, they will face off against the CHAMPION POINT leader in a series to determine the Summer Season champion!!!

Play Pen-itentiary / Infants Welcome

When Mousetopher unveiled the new moderated forum, people who committed the slightest infraction were marked "infants" and banned from moderated discussion.  We don't want to lighten up on the moderation too much, because we still want the moderated forum to be a place free from insults and general bad behavior.  However, some of these infractions are quite small, and a ban seems to go too far.

Enter the Play Pen-itentiary.  When you commit an offense in the moderated forum, your access to that forum will be revoked, but you'll still be able to post here.  This is where those marked infants should meditate on their mistakes, do some penance, and eventually request reinstatement.  Reinstatement will be granted on a somewhat subjective basis, depending on the seriousness of the offense, the time spent in serious reflection, the number of previous offenses, and other related factors.
