here's my group winner predictions:
group a
1. canada
2. netherlands
sinclair one of the best players in the tournament and the best in the group will hopefully lead canada to a #1 spot in group a, but the dutch won't be easy
group b
1. norway
2. germany
i think norway has the experience and talent to beat germany.
group c
1. japan
2. swiss
japan will destroy everyone in this group
group d
1. usa
2. sweden
the clearly better more experienced teams of the group. nigeria's best player is a 39 year old or the up and coming 21 year old Oparanozie could be their best now, either way they don't have nearly enough to get out of the group. aussie's a bit more well rounded than nigeria, still not enough to compete with sweden or usa.
group e
1. south korea
2. brazil
costa rica and spain have young squads, i don't see them defeating the more experienced south korean and brazillian teams.

1. france
2. england
colombia doesn't have anyone over 26, one of the youngest squads in the tournament and the mexican squad is not much older. not much of a hope competing with some of the top teams in the world france and england.

Are you still going to post in this thread now that Canada was "pwned"? The US continues to advance... I watched their game vs. China. They easily defeated China 1-0. Christen Press looked really good when she came in. Alex Morgan got tired and was shitty near the end. Abby Wambach is over the hill and they shouldn't bother using her again. They put her in for Rodriguez near the end and it was a big step down. I think she missed a PK against Colombia too. Hope Solo didn't even have to do anything because the US was too good.

Germany vs US is really good so far. US is outplaying them decidedly in the first 20 minutes. Alex Morgan made a great run but couldn't finish a one on one against the German keeper.
