Hi, I've forwarded my ports and am still unable to host. I'm thinking that, as some others have reported, my war2 port might not be the standard 6112-6119 range. How can I find out what port my war2 is using so I can forward that one? Thanks!

Check your registry file. Follow the Lan tutorial sticky above us. See what the game data port is set too.

sweet, didn't know that information was up there. I made the port 6112 so I'll see if it works now

Make sure you used the correct ip for your device and reserve it so it don't change if that didn't work. Then I expect you don't have a real ip from your isp.
Also shutdown pc, restart router, etc

when i was hosting games for awhile some bot/server thingy was whispering me saying i needed port 3493890 open (some random number). you didn't get any notification of what port it wanted you to open?

Type /netinfo and you'll find the actual port that the game is using.
