If they were to consult with the player base, the remaster would be much better (they did consult SC Pros before the remaster).  I don't think they will since there isn't a pro scene here.... so I'm hoping for a SC remastered quality at least. 

These are changes that would be better for the game:

Ballista Fix, Tower Bug Fix, Rally Point, Nerf Lust, Heal Autocast, Map Trigger Editor, MMR ladder.

I dont know, they may be just checking if theres any hype for a wc2 remaster before confirming anything.
Another bugs: dead spot, units moving by themselves, zapper right click building check on explored map, peons jumping to a 2 distance tile when theres 1 distance tile open after leaving mine.

I have mixed feelings about fixing the tower bug. On one hand, it's part of the game and has been forever.....  I mess it up all the time and would benefit from it being fixed but yeah.... Looking forward to seeing what they do with it.

I would be really surprised if they actually released a remastered version of war2. I can't see kids in their teens and 20s playing war2 the way we play it today but let's wait and see.

Yes they finally give the old warcraft RTS some attention like warcraft 3 is the best RTS warcraft but that doesn't mean to neglect the first 2 games I hope they modernize warcraft 2   by updating pathfinding , make factions distinct from one another , better UI you know all the good stuff  the game is badly outdated 0/10 gameplay , they just fix gameplay and it will be perfect.

Waiting for the reveal just to hear purists crying "nooooooo they are ruining warcraft 2"

Agreed, although I feel like Dragon/Gryphon sprites were rushed, and they should respond faster

New maps by competent mappers, tilets(upper ground, ramps, bridges, doodads, map triggers, larger maps), audio tracks and.. ..maybe.. pathing could be improved

Remaster mean update graphic, fix some bugs, can be rebalance but not adding anything new

What about replays? Maps? Will game have obs mode? Ladder as SC? Or like w3?

Well guys lets just not put too much hope into blizzard if they improve pathfinding thats good but even then I doubt it I dunno man can blizzard be trusted?? Like I know Microsoft is handling their age series pretty fine but warcraft? Can they handle it the same? We can only expect and hope they make this game have actually modern gameplay or at least plays as well as age or empires 2 or generals.
